New Haven Picks Up Another L
|
Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Danuel McNeil, who leads the EL in home runs with 24, the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the New Haven Ravens, 4-1. The win went to Luke Cody in relief, making him now 4-4. Montague Farnham took the loss for New Haven. New Haven has now lost 6 straight.
The Sea Dogs had to work out of trouble with one out in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 4-1, Portland. But New Haven, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Dany Espinal dug in at the plate. But on a 1-2 sinker, Espinal lined out.
