The Halifax Frigates extended their winning streak.

In a tight game between the Akron RubberDucks and the Halifax Frigates, nobody was more important for the winners than Jake Rhéaume. Rhéaume was masterful in the 2-1 win. Jared Allison, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

With Halifax leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Rhéaume hit a fastball from Erik Burris for a solo home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Frigates ahead, 2-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Halifax manager Trajano De Leon said.

Halifax, at 54-51, sits in 4th place in the Eastern League North Division.
