The rain made it unbearable at times; nonetheless, the faithful who endured the elements enjoyed themselves.

The Somerset Patriots defeated the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 5-4. Left Fielder Sebastian Elizondo deserved a large share of the credit. Elizondo was 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Patriots. Somerset is 7th in the Eastern League Southwest Division with a record of 50-57.

Somerset took a 5-4 lead on Anthony McConnell's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which McConnell hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Binghamton pitcher Dom Bussom visibly frustrated.

Somerset manager Alex Chavez commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
