|
The Halifax Frigates powered past the Hartford Yard Goats, 9-3, at Dunkin' Donuts Park. Max Hoyle went 4-6 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. Halifax now sits at 44-59, while Hartford falls to 60-43.
With Halifax leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Hoyle hit a fastball from Joel Brereton for a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Frigates ahead, 3-0.
Said losing manager Marco Rios: "We did everything to set the stage for them to beat us."
