The New Haven Ravens downed the Providence Crabs, 5-0, at Holyoke Grounds. New Haven pitcher Jim Enright definitely brought his A-game. The winning pitcher was Enright, now 4-1. He tossed 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The Ravens bumped their record to 64-38 with this win.
The Ravens got a big at-bat from left fielder Rickard Wiedemann. For the game, Wiedemann went 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave New Haven a 1-0 lead.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Wiedemann said.
