The Altoona Curve picked up a win at Holyoke Grounds, knocking off the Providence Crabs, 6-2. Starting pitcher Roger Giles played a key role in the triumph. The Curve are now 59-44.

Altoona used a well-timed hit by Alex Neal to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Curve ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Roger did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Altoona manager Matt Hartford.
