The Erie SeaWolves thumped the Providence Crabs, 8-2, at Jerry Uht Park. Rigo Torres was a big reason his team got the win. Torres belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The loss makes Providence 39-65.

Sean Daigle helped out the Erie cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Daigle told the Erie Today. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
