The Quebec Metros rode a solid performance from 27-year-old starting pitcher Tom Clayburn to a win, beating the Lincoln Bighorns, 5-2, at Metros Ballpark. Picking up the save was fireballing left-hander John Sakakihara. The Metros are now 42-62.

The Metros got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning, when they were leading 2-1. With two out and the bases loaded, Owen Parsons reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-1, Quebec.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Quebec manager Zeke Butler.
