RubberDucks Suffer 4-2 Setback

The Akron RubberDucks got a sterling performance from pitcher Luther Hara, but the Somerset Patriots still prevailed, 4-2. Hara threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Picking up the save was Ben Kessel, his 12th. With the win, Somerset has a record of 49-51. Akron falls to 48-52.
Somerset used the timely hitting of José Maria Vásquez to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Patriots on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"The most important thing is that we won," Vásquez said.
