The Halifax Frigates downed the Portland Sea Dogs, 9-6. The hitting star was designated hitter Ethan Riggs. Riggs went 3-3 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Frigates. Halifax pitcher Larry Lanier earned the win, hiking his record to 5-2. Billy Bob Kelch suffered the loss. Tobias Hernandez earned the save for Halifax, his 2nd.

Left Fielder Wiley Hite made an impact for Halifax, when he swatted a 2-run double off Cody Bass in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Hite went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We've got great fans," said Riggs. "I hope they got what they came for."

The Frigates improved their record to 44-56 by beating Portland.
