Sam, Halifax Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
People's Natural Gas Field was the site of a true pitchers' duel.

Halifax took on Altoona in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Christian Sam, in particular, was fantastic. The Halifax right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-0. Scotty Cox earned the save for Halifax, his 19th.

Sam allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7 innings for the Frigates. He walked 2 and struck out 8.

"Christian can pitch. He moves the ball around," said Halifax manager Trajano De Leon.

At 48-50, the Frigates claim 5th place in the Eastern League North Division.
