The Lancaster Barnstormers extended their winning streak.

The Lancaster Barnstormers downed the Halifax Frigates, 6-0, at MGM Park. Stellar pitching by Jon Serrano had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 5th in the EL in strikeouts with 98, handcuffed his opponent all game. Serrano yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 6-7.

Lancaster used the hitting of Sergio De Los Santos to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Barnstormers on top, 4-0. For the game, De Los Santos had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Jon is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Lancaster manager Gustavo Resendiz.

Lancaster is now 48-51.
