The New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Wichita Pilots, 7-2, in Eastern League action at Regions Field. The standout performance belonged to New Hampshire pitcher and San Marino, California, native Ian Tripp. New Hampshire is now 4-3.

It could have been a different outcome for New Hampshire, had it not been for Sebastian Maxwell, the 24-year old third baseman . Maxwell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put New Hampshire up, 1-0.

In comments to the New Hampshire Gazette, Maxwell admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
