Rumble Ponies Tag Patriots with 3-0 Loss
|
Binghamton and Somerset duked it out and the Rumble Ponies came out victorious.
Binghamton Rumble Ponies starter Charlie Henry pitched effectively against the Somerset Patriots at Arm & Hammer Park. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-0 win. Jimmy Cayot notched his 11th save in 13 chances.
Anthony Millspaugh, the 26-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Millspaugh contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Binghamton up, 2-0.
Henry pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
The Rumble Ponies saw their win-loss record go to 53-43. At the same time, the Patriots fell to 47-49.
