The Lincoln Bighorns stopped the Altoona Curve, 7-4, at People's Natural Gas Field. The Bighorns got a big game from Ezequiel Gonzáles, who went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Travis Vaida got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Nathan Sanderson closed it out for his 1st save.

Gonzáles contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Lincoln in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-3, Gonzáles took a fastball from Monte Pabey and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Bighorns to leap in front, 6-4.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Gonzáles.

Altoona is now 2-2.
