Binghamton Rumble Ponies starter Noah Kinder turned in a sparkling performance against the Erie SeaWolves, leading his team to a 2-1 win. The winner was Harris Lange in relief. His record improves to 3-5. Carter Kristalstern took the loss. Reese Cohen was called on to finish, recording his 3rd save.
Had Rocky Clegg not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Clegg hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Rumble Ponies.
"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Rumble Ponies manager Chris Jaeger.
With the win, Binghamton goes to 38-58, while the SeaWolves fall to 48-48.
