Patriots Make Fisher Cats 6-1 Losers

The Somerset Patriots got a marvelous performance from pitcher Thurston Hill. The right-hander kept the New Hampshire offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-1 Somerset victory at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The winner was Hill. He threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The loser was Jim Henderson. Gerald Ordonez finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Rick Dean? The Somerset first baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put the Patriots on top, 1-0. For the game, Dean had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We had a nice day," said Somerset skipper Alex Chavez.
The win elevated the Patriots to 54-36.
