RubberDucks Deny Baysox, 3-2
|
The Akron RubberDucks and Bowie Baysox played an exciting game.
Starting pitcher Dave Harper gave the Akron RubberDucks a rock-solid effort. The Le Mars, Iowa native helped his team defeat the Bowie Baysox, 3-2, at Canal Park. Christian Betros, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Left Fielder Yipolito Ambriz made an impact for Akron, when he swatted a 2-run home run off Mark Cross in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Ambriz went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
After the game, Akron manager Damon Cordero applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
