The Somerset Patriots downed the Akron RubberDucks, 7-4, at Arm & Hammer Park. The Patriots were led by Armen Macaluso. Macaluso went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. John Simmons went 5.1 innings for Somerset to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3.
