Somerset Hot Streak Continues with 5-2 Win
|
The Somerset Patriots dealt the Altoona Curve a 5-2 loss at People's Natural Gas Field. Riley Rhyne was the star on offense. He was 3-5 with 3 singles. The Patriots now have a record of 55-31.
Somerset used a well-timed hit by Dave Jacinto to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Patriots ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Somerset manager Alex Chavez.
