Yard Goats Losers, 4-3, to Erie
|
The Erie SeaWolves and Hartford Yard Goats played an exciting game.
Though he had a stellar game, Alex Girard could not prevent his team, the Hartford Yard Goats, from losing, 4-3, to the Erie SeaWolves. Girard went 2-2 with 2 doubles and a walk. Elijah Blaisdell, now 1-1, was credited with the win in 2.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 1 and walking 2.
Alexander Saunders had a direct impact on the outcome. Saunders contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Erie up, 4-3.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Saunders.
The 8th-place SeaWolves are 35-51.
