Frigates Get 4-2 Win Versus Erie
|
Halifax pitcher Brenden Labranche had a large part in his team beating the Erie SeaWolves, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Augusto León closed the door for Halifax, picking up his 3rd save of the year. The Frigates win now puts them at 47-39.
The Frigates got a big at-bat from shortstop Ezekiel Messori. For the game, Messori went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Halifax a 3-2 lead.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Al Alcantara.
