The Altoona Curve got a marvelous performance from pitcher Kevin Skevington. The left-hander kept the Bowie offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 9-1 Altoona victory at People's Natural Gas Field. Altoona reliever Kevin Skevington picked up the win. Ryker Solis took the loss for Bowie. The loss makes Bowie 34-50.

Michael Taylor was 1 for 3 with a double and 2 walks for Altoona. The 25-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ryker Solis. It was his 10th walk of the season.

Curve manager Matt Hartford had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
