Curve Rally For Late Win Over Ravens

The Altoona Curve picked up a win at People's Natural Gas Field, knocking off the New Haven Ravens, 5-2. On the mound for Altoona was right-hander Sherwin Sullivan. He played a key role in the triumph. Reliever Zach Durrah picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Roger Eckstrom, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2068 draft, took the loss. The Curve now own a record of 41-40.
Altoona took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 2-2, when Nunzio Erickson hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Curve in front, 4-2.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager B.J. Jarvis. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
