Moore Helps Frigates Defeat Yard Goats, 7-0
|
Halifax center fielder Jeremiah Moore played a vital role in his team's 7-0 conquest of Hartford. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Halifax. Jackson Durk picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed no runs on 4 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-1. The slumping Yard Goats have dropped 6 in a row.
With Halifax leading 4-0 in the bottom of the eighth, Moore came up to bat against Hartford pitcher Jinxy Banda. Moore hit a sinker to left for a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season put the Frigates on top, 7-0.
