With right fielder Tino Shine leading the charge, the Erie SeaWolves defeated the Bowie Baysox, 9-3, at Jerry Uht Park. Shine went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Erie pitcher Yordan Cuellar got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Randall Hooks got the loss. The 7th-place Baysox have lost 5 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the fifth, Gavin Fenrick delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Erie designated hitter hit a 2-run single, putting the SeaWolves in front, 9-3.

"I like winning," Fenrick told the Erie Bulletin. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
