Quebec Wins, 4-2, in Extra Innings
|
The Quebec Metros overcame a good performance by Binghamton shortstop Essie Marcy to knock off Binghamton, 4-2, at NYSEG Stadium. Marcy was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. Delwyn Johnson, credited with the win, is now 5-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Archer Loveless finished the game for Quebec and earned his 3rd save.
Lino Torres, the 24-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Torres contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Quebec up, 3-2.
"Exciting game to play in," said Torres. "Getting the win makes it even better."
