The Yonkers Dark Knights pinned a convincing loss on the Somerset Patriots, 10-1, at Arm & Hammer Park. Kyle Bonner was a main factor in the win. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Yonkers. Todd Rubio, who is tied for 7th in the EL in wins with 6, was the winner. He's now 6-2. The loser was Thurston Hill. Yonkers currently is in second place in the Eastern League North Division at 43-35.

Justin Johnson had a big run-scoring double for the Dark Knights in the top of the first inning. With Yonkers leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Thurston Hill, who leads the EL in strikeouts with 98, and swatted a double to right. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dark Knights ahead, 2-0.

"The Dark Knights definitely had our number," said Somerset manager Alex Chavez.
