Ravens Win at Erie, 4-0
|
The Erie SeaWolves and New Haven Ravens were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
New Haven Ravens starter Ned Achterberg turned in a top-notch performance against the Erie SeaWolves at Jerry Uht Park. The result was a win for the Ravens, 4-0. The Ravens own a robust 48-25 mark.
James Ayala, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ayala contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put New Haven up, 2-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Achterberg.
