Bighorns Come Back Late, Nip Baysox
|
Benefiting from Raffy Ortiz's productive game, the Lincoln Bighorns downed the Bowie Baysox, 3-2. Ortiz was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles for the Bighorns. The win was credited to Jace Enos in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Dariel Dubois took the loss. The 5th-place Baysox dropped to 40-30.
The decisive blow was delivered by Sylvester Meade in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Dariel Dubois to win the game for Lincoln. The home crowd went nuts.
"Enough drama for you?" winked Bighorns manager Jake Braithwaite after the game.
