Dark Knights Earn Late 7-6 Win
Portland got a terrific game from left fielder Stewart Michalski. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Yonkers, 7-6. Michalski went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The win belonged to Derek Lowe in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Peter Patterson took the loss for Portland. Paul Lieske, credited with the save, is now 7 for 7 in save opportunities.

Scotty Field hit a run-scoring double off Jaxon Patterson in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Dark Knights in front, 7-6. In addition to the double, Field had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Dark Knights manager Vince Hendrix.

The win boosts the Dark Knights to 40-29. The loss puts the Sea Dogs at 24-45.
