The Akron RubberDucks topped the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 5-2, in Eastern League action at Canal Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Akron pitcher Ayrton Boogert. Denis Lam closed it out for his 5th save. With the victory, the RubberDucks upped their record to 39-30.
Hunter Partin, who is tied for 4th in the EL with a .343 batting average, helped out the Akron cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
Partin called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
