The Gateway Grizzlies downed the Altoona Curve, 10-3. The hitting star was catcher Lyle Mejia. Mejia went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Grizzlies. Wally Byron, who is tied for 7th in the EL in strikeouts with 64, was the winning pitcher. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 9 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
