Lancaster Drops Another One, 5-3
|
Wichita Pilots starter Benjamin Wolff pitched a strong game against the Lancaster Barnstormers at Regions Field, leading the Pilots to victory, 5-3. Roberto Mays closed the game out for Wichita, earning his 1st save. This loss makes it 6 in a row for Lancaster.
Wichita shortstop P.J. Linklater contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a sinker to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 62nd hit of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 3-1.
"Benjamin was dictating to their hitters," said Wichita manager Ryan Coleman.
