The home crowd had a good time watching the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Providence Crabs get after it.

Mitchell Kashuba pitched a gem to lead Providence to victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 5-1. Kashuba, now 1-8, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 9, walking 2, and allowing no runs.

Providence designated hitter Tommy Lehmann contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 58th hit of the season and put the Crabs ahead, 3-0.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Providence skipper Adam Baron.

Providence, with the win, sits at 23-44.
