Frigates Drop to .500 After 5-1 Loss to Bighorns

The Halifax Frigates went down to defeat to Sean Curry and his Lincoln teammates. The final score was 5-1, in favor of the Bighorns. Justin Hulin picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ignatius Valdez suffered the loss. The Bighorns, at 32-32, sit in 7th place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
Brody Campbell had a big 2-run double for the Bighorns in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Lincoln leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from Ignatius Valdez, who is tied for 7th in the EL in quality starts with 7, and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bighorns ahead, 5-1.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Bighorns manager Jackson Ladue, "I like our chances."
