Dark Knights Lose Late, 7-4
|
The Yonkers Dark Knights got a sterling performance from pitcher Todd Rubio, but the Lincoln Bighorns still prevailed, 7-4. Rubio threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Lincoln, at 36-28, occupies third place in the Eastern League Southwest Division.
The decisive blow was delivered by Ramón Sonora in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ralph Fragoso to win the game for Lincoln. The home crowd went nuts.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Sonora said.
