Sea Dogs Deal Bighorns 5-2 Defeat
|
Getting a good performance from third baseman Gándalf Burgos, the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Lincoln Bighorns, 5-2. Burgos went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Sea Dogs. With the victory, the Sea Dogs record stands at 27-36.
Burgos contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Portland in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Burgos took a splitter from Jared Morey and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Sea Dogs to leap in front, 4-1.
