Judd 3-for-5 in Binghamton Win
|
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies stormed past the Lincoln Bighorns, 12-7, at ONEOK Field. Binghamton left fielderMichael Judd led the hit parade. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Ron Fakler claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3.1 innings. His record stands at 2-1. Wade Redmond earned save number 1 this season.
Greyson Calaway went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Binghamton. The 21-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring single off Jeremiah Tubach. It was his 50th hit of the season.
"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Rumble Ponies manager Zane Tharp.
The 4th-place Rumble Ponies have a record of 30-32.
