Johnson Lifts Frigates to 7-5 Triumph
The Halifax Frigates beat the Yonkers Dark Knights, 7-5, at MGM Park. Tony Johnson, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Robert Tipton, the winner, improved to 8-4. He held the Dark Knights to 5 runs on 6 hits over 7.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 5. Picking up the save was Larry Lanier, his 9th.

Johnson contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Halifax get the win.

"I like how we're playing right now," said Johnson.

The 5th-place Frigates are now 31-32, the Dark Knights 32-31.
