Altoona Beats Binghamton in Extra Innings

Due in part to first baseman Ariando García, the Altoona Curve chopped down the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 6-3, in 10 innings. García was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The 4th-place Curve are 34-28.
In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, García hammered a 3-run home run to win it for Altoona.
In postgame remarks, Curve manager Matt Hartford lauded García. "He's a good, young player. The future's bright for Ariando."
