Dark Knights Rally to Eke Out Win
The Yonkers Dark Knights did just enough to secure a victory over the Altoona Curve, 9-8, in 11 innings at People's Natural Gas Field. Nobody did more than first baseman Patrick Nosonovsky. Yonkers pitcher Edgar Robbins got the win, upping his record to 4-4. Richard Gaither got the loss. With the win, Yonkers goes to 28-29, while the Curve fall to 31-26.

Yonkers needed the clutch hitting of Lanny Nunn to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Dark Knights on top, 9-8. For the game, Nunn had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Yonkers manager Vince Hendrix.
