Late Rally by Curve Secures 5-2 Win
The Altoona Curve took Binghamton pitcher Jeb Dollarhide's best shot and still were able to claim a win at NYSEG Stadium. The final score had Altoona getting past the Rumble Ponies, 5-2. Dollarhide went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. Altoona reliever Isaiah Carrasco picked up the win to move to 1-0. Brantley Schmidt suffered the loss. Altoona now has a record of 29-24 with the win.

Altoona used a timely hit from Alonzo Rosário to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Curve ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Rosário attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
