The Yonkers Dark Knights picked up a win, 6-3, over the Quebec Metros at Metros Ballpark. Ralph Wanzer led the charge. The Bellevue, Nebraska native was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for Yonkers. Rusty Rha closed it out for Yonkers, earning his 1st save. The 5th-place Dark Knights lifted their record to 26-30.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Iván Peña? The 26-year old left fielder Peña stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Yonkers up, 5-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
