Baysox Defeat Bighorns in 15
|
Fans who congregated at Prince George's Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.
The Bowie Baysox picked up a win at Prince George's Stadium, knocking off the Lincoln Bighorns, 5-3, in 15 innings. Starting pitcher Neymar Castaneda played a key role in the triumph. Bowie reliever Lucas Beyer was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Jonathas Aguillon.
Bowie got a knockout punch from Orson Neufer. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 15th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Neufer told a Bowie Today reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
The win makes Bowie 21-30.
