The Lincoln Bighorns went down to defeat to Albert Pierce and his Somerset teammates. The final score was 4-0 in favor of the Patriots. The 'W' lifts Somerset's record to 22-28.

The Bighorns had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Patriots going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old first baseman Andrew Nava came to the plate. Nava hit a grand slam home run on a first pitch fastball from Lincoln hurler Rob Cioffi. It was Nava's 4th home run of the year.

"I give credit to my teammates for this win. We got it done," Pierce told the Somerset Daily.
