The Hartford Yard Goats got production up and down the lineup while beating the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 13-2. One standout was third baseman Leonardo Tran. Tran hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Yard Goats improved to 23-25.

With Hartford leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Tran hit a fastball from Bylent Claus for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Yard Goats ahead, 3-0.

"We had a good plan and executed it," said winning manager Bill Medina.
