Win Lifts SeaWolves to 25-23
|
Erie pitcher Princeton Bell did his part in helping his team beat the Altoona Curve, 5-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Bell, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Erie is now 25-23, Altoona 31-17.
With no one out in the bottom of the fourth, Bill Hall put Erie in front, 3-0, with a 2-run single. The SeaWolves went on to win the ballgame.
"We did a lot of things right," said Bell.
