Gateway and Erie duked it out and the Grizzlies came out victorious.

Mickey Hall pitched well, but the Erie SeaWolves still lost the game, falling, 4-2, to the Gateway Grizzlies at Jerry Uht Park. Gateway reliever Jeffrey Morant was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Mickey Hall took the loss. Jeremiah Huggard collected his 9th save.

Gateway used a well-timed hit by Shaun Krantz to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Grizzlies ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Krantz told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."

Gateway has now won 4 in a row.
