The Halifax Frigates were defeated, 2-1, by the Bowie Baysox at Prince George's Stadium, even though Tim Black pitched well for Halifax. Gianni Ivey got the save, the 7th for him this season. The Baysox now own a record of 18-26.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Baysox had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when designated hitter Troy Queen hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Tim Black and made the score 2-0, Baysox. Queen went 1 for 4.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Hipolito Peña.
