Fraser Goes Off, But Curve Win
Despite a great performance by Akron catcher Nick Fraser, the Altoona Curve defeated the RubberDucks by the score of 15-9 at Canal Park. Fraser slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The 6th-place RubberDucks have dropped 6 straight games.

Altoona used the timely hitting of Alexander Maner to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Curve on top, 10-9. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Maner said.
