|
Yard Goats designated hitter Tom Halter put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Gateway Grizzlies. Halter went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Hartford in the contest. Carter Scott was credited with the save for Hartford, his 4th of the season. Hartford goes to 11-22, Gateway to 14-19.
One consequential at-bat came in the top of the second. With a runner on 2nd, the batter, Guss Carpenter, hit a 2-run home run. It made the score 2-1, Hartford, and helped them go on to win.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Yard Goats manager Jake Anderson. "This one was nice to get."
